Department of Theology and Islamic Studies |
The Department of Theology and Islamic Studies started its work at IAU-A in 1996. This department offers programs at BA and MA levels for students of Islamic Law and Jurisprudence. The department also offers MA and PhD programs for Quranic Sciences and Hadith (sayings and doings of the holy Prophet of Islam). Graduates of these courses, depending on their qualifications, work as judges in courts, or as lawyers, notaries, and legal consultants in public and private sectors. Graduates of the Quranic Sciences and Hadith are usually employed by governmental organizations such as the Ministry of Education, Islamic Promulgation Organization, and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. These graduates may also be employed by other non-governmental organizations.
