Department of Biology

The Department of Biology started its academic mission in 2007 by accepting students in microbiology for Bachelor's degree. Five years later the department offered courses for students of Master's degree in different strands of biology, namely, histology, embryology, and plant physiology. It is worth mentioning that, histology and embryology are strands of biology that are offered only in Ardabil branch among all other branches of IAU in Iran.Thus far, about 250 students have got their degrees in microbiology from this branch. At the moment, a large number of students are also studying for their Master's degree in different sub-fields of biology in this university.
