Department of Architecture

The Department of Architectural engineering was established in IAU-A in 2006. Since then, this department has been involved in designing ateliers and workshops for both theoretical and practical programs of architectural engineering. At the moment, there are 1500 students in this department majoring at both undergraduate (AS and BS) and postgraduate (MS and PhD) levels. This department has 7 faculty members four of which are associate professors and three PhD candidates. The department is going to expand its activities by offering programs in Architecture, Urbanism and Arts. Right now this department is considered as a subdivision of the Technology and Engineering Faculty. However, with respect to the huge intake of students and the variety of programs it offers, it is predicted that a separate faculty for this field will be set up quite soon.
